Montage Medical Group and Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula services and providers are covered under Blue Shield of California’s Trio HMO plan. History

Montage Medical Group, formerly called Peninsula Primary Care, launched as a nonprofit, public service physician group in 2009. It focused on addressing the shortage of primary care doctors on the Monterey Peninsula.

In 2015, the group’s primary care practices received national recognition as Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Homes (the highest level of achievement) from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). This means patients get team-based, complete care to improve long-term health outcomes.

In 2016, Peninsula Primary Care joined the Montage Health family and changed its name to Montage Medical Group.
